Guiding Principles
Embracing failure and human error makes us better engineers, teams, and humans.
Promoting continuous learning and knowledge sharing is vital to cultivating positive and productive engineering culture.
When building technology products, building the right product is just as important as building it the right way. Use data to drive decisions!

Notable Projects
I recently joined a small but ambitious startup as a co-founder and lead software engineer, where I have been focused on the modernization of their core SaaS technology products: the Personal Operating Profile (POP) and TeamOS. I have been helping the LLUNA team by providing modern coding and UX practices, mentoring junior engineers, and creating application architectures that allow for greater flexibility and scalability.
In addition to leading architecture and software development efforts, I work directly with the CEO and CTO to help drive decisions that best support the product and the growth of the organization.

Senior Software Engineer
IKEA (2021 - 2023)Everyone's favorite build-it-yourself furniture brand! I joined IKEA's US Digital Hub as their first Senior Engineer to help build a collaborative and product-first engineering organization. Working directly with a team based in Sweden, I helped to bridge the gap between our new US Hub and an established, international product team.
Developer Chapter Lead / Senior Software Engineer
Vanguard (2015 - 2021)Vanguard was a great place to start my career. It's a big organization, but I enjoyed their rotational culture and got to try a bunch of different roles (including project management and people leadership) during my time there. In the end, I always came back to good ol' hands-on software development!
Master of Software Engineering
Penn State University (2019 - 2016)I decided to bite the bullet and achieve a lifelong goal of getting my master's degree, taking night classes while at Vanguard. Many long days/nights later, I finally got that very expensive receipt!
B.S. Information Sciences & Technology
Penn State University (2011 - 2015)Fun Fact: I came to Penn State as a psychology major! After being recommended to the College of IST by my undergraduate advisor, I fell in love with the program. IST was the perfect balance of technical and business topics!
